MANILA, Philippines – The low pressure area (LPA) off Cavite may still develop into a tropical depression to be named "Jacinto," the third storm to hit the country this month and the tenth this year, the national weather bureau said on Thursday.
Pagasa monitors LPA off Cavite, may still become tropical depression
Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the trough or extension of the LPA, which was estimated some 435 kilometers west of Sangley Point, Cavite City, has been affecting several Luzon areas including Metro Manila., This news data comes from:http://vwtwbg.771bg.com
“As we said, the LPA has a big potential in intensifying into a tropical depression but it is already near the boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, meaning, it would readily exit the region,” the Pagasa forecaster said.
Its trough, she said, was also affecting Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya where cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms would prevail.
The southwest monsoon or "habagat," meanwhile, will be experienced over Visayas, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Quezon, the state-run weather agency said.

Pagasa said the rest of Mindanao would likely have partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also due to the same weather system.
